Questions you might have
Good questions are where everything begins. These are the ones I hear most often.
If you're curious about how I work, who I work with, or whether we might be a good fit you might find the answer here.
Think Human Being
Think Human Being is a purpose consultancy and leadership practice based in Windhoek, Namibia. It supports leaders and organisations across Africa and globally with human-centered leadership, culture alignment, and strategic clarity in a rapidly changing world.
More than facilitation or traditional consulting, the work is grounded in perspective shift. Debbie works alongside leadership teams as a strategic thought partner and guide, helping insights become owned, learning become integrated, and reflection shape how people think, connect, and lead long after the session ends.
Think Human Being is both a lens and a practice - using purpose to bring coherence to strategy, culture, and decision-making.
Think Human Being focuses on perspective shift before structure and planning.
Engagements include:
• Keynote talks and executive provocations
• Pre-strategy ignition sessions
• Leadership alignment workshops
• Individual reflective processes
• Purpose and values discovery for small to mid-sized teams
Each engagement is designed to help leaders layer insight, reconnect to purpose, and align decision-making with values.
No.
Traditional consulting often delivers answers, frameworks, or recommendations.
Think Human Being works differently. Rather than imposing solutions, Debbie acts as a strategic thought partner, creating space for organisations to see clearly, think systemically, and move forward with ownership and coherence.
The outcome is not just a document. It is a shift in perspective that shapes behaviour.
Most businesses arrive at a strategist, consultant, or facilitator with a brief already written - a problem defined, a solution half-decided. I go upstream of that moment.
Upstream means: before the strategy, before the plan, before the framework. It means asking the human questions that most briefs never think to include - who are we, what do we stand for, what needs to shift before anything else can move?
Desmond Tutu said it best: "There comes a point where we need to stop just pulling people out of the river. We need to go upstream and find out why they're falling in."
That is where I work.
Best space is not a destination. It's a practice - a state of alignment between who you are, what you do, and the difference you can make.
You know you're in it when your purpose, values, your skills, and the world's need converge. When your work feels energising rather than depleting. When decisions feel clear rather than contested. When what you do and who you are feel like the same thing.
You know you're not in it when something feels persistently misaligned - when the strategy doesn't reflect the culture, when the brand doesn't reflect the purpose, when the role doesn't reflect the person.
Finding the best space - for people, teams, businesses, brands, and ideas - is what all my work is in service of.
Think Human Being is the purpose-led consultancy and leadership practice of Debbie Rowles. It is where keynote talks, pre-strategy sessions, leadership alignment workshops, and reflective purpose work are held. It is the lens through which perspective shifts and clarity begins.
The Human Business Collaborative (THBC) is a co-founded collaboration between Debbie Rowles, Lizette Becker, and Christine Hugo. It is the team behind The Human Business Effect - a human-centred philosophy and model that integrates what matters in business: purpose, values, story and culture with strategy.
While Think Human Being often initiates the perspective shift, larger organisational transformation and multi-layer cultural embedding may be delivered through The Human Business Collaborative. This allows the work to scale beyond individual facilitation into deeper organisational integration.
Both are grounded in the same philosophy.
The difference lies in structure and capacity. Think Human Being holds the lens. The Human Business Collaborative lays the foundation to integrate into strategy.

All Think Human Being engagements are led by Debbie Rowles.
Debbie Rowles is a purpose-led strategist based in Windhoek, Namibia, and the founder of Think Human Being. With over twenty years of experience in brand and business strategy, she works alongside leadership teams as a strategic thought partner - helping organisations align purpose, values, and culture in practical, human ways.
Her work bridges keynote insight, pre-strategy reflection, and purpose-driven facilitation, supporting leaders to think clearly, connect deeply, and lead coherently in a rapidly changing world.
Debbie has completed the Mastery of Business and Empathy (MBE) by Small Giants and is a trained Warm Data Lab facilitator through the International Bateson Institute. She is also a co-founder of The Human Business Collaborative, the team behind the Human Business Effect - supporting larger-scale organisational transformation where deeper implementation is required.
The Human Business Collaborative becomes involved when:
• The work requires broader organisational roll-out
• Multiple facilitators or disciplines are needed
• The engagement spans several layers of the organisation
• Long-term cultural embedding is required
It allows larger transformation work to be delivered with depth and coherence, while remaining rooted in the Think Human Being lens.
You will experience a shift in perspective.
The work creates space for leaders and teams to pause, reflect, and see their ideas, business, and brand through a fuller human lens. As Nora Bateson suggests, a shift in perspective is itself an action. When perspective changes, possibility expands.
Through this process, teams often:
• Connect beyond tasks to shared values and purpose
• Create real space for reflection and thinking, not just execution
• Bring depth to conversations about business, leadership, culture, and strategy
• Reconnect personal meaning with organisational direction
• See the wider impact and potential of their work in the world
Rather than delivering a fixed output, the work helps unlock clarity and coherence. It allows purpose and values to move from language into lived awareness - shaping how people think, relate, decide, and lead.
